Note 002
We are edging near the end of winter and today's warmer weather was very welcomed. Only 7 weeks until daylight savings starts!

AT MY DESK
As much we are all pushing back on the injection of AI in into Adobe programs, while I was working on a logo project today I tried out two new features that I will definitely be keeping in the tool belt. The "turnable" tool lets you create different views/angle of your artwork without having to redraw everything, which is a huge timesaver. The mockup tool is also a game changer for quickly dropping logo mocks on existing client photography to show them how they will look in the real world..
I recently created a few submissions to an everyday gift wrap challenge for Minted. This submission titled Rainbow Sherbert definitely stretched my skills, as it needed to be a seamless repeating pattern which is hard to do with organic elements.

CURRENTLY
In order to avoid doom scrolling, I decided to trial a subscription to The New Yorker for a few months. It made me realise how out of practice we are at reading any articles that are longer than a few minutes or seconds! Anything by Kyle Chayka has been really interesting and I want to start listening to his book Filterworld How Algorithms Flattened Culture but still working through Lighter by Yung Pueblo.
Music on repeat this week has been Best Part by Daniel Cesear feat. H.E.R. and Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart by Alicia Keys.
Best podcast listen this week was Anne Lamott on Good Hang with Amy Poehler
